Fathima Babu was born in Puducherry on 6 August 1968 to a Malayali family. She is a former Tamil actress who has also appeared in Malayalam films. Fathima Babu also used to be a newsreader for DD Podhigai, the Tamil version of Doordarshan news. She is one of the contestants in the Bigg Boss Tamil Season 3 which is hosted by Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan.
